  brickfest

Just wondering, who's planning on going to brickfest this year? If enough of us are attending, maybe we can work something out between all of us, regards transportation, and convoying... Dan (21 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

(...) I dunno - Aren't we all busy with the courthouse show on the 1st? (...) While I'll be willing to allow Shaun to retool his army (since he'd just get slautered again), for the _same_ game, I'd like the units to stay the same. Just the (...) (21 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) I could go for a two day brikwars event. How about we say the 31st and if we want to do a second day then June 1st as well. Does this work for the rest of you? (...) I would also like to revamp some of my troops to correct a few mistakes I (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

(...) Could you do both the 10th and the 11th, heh heh? Has there ever been a two-day BrikWars game? (...) I loved the photos and ... dang ... this was really looked like a fun game. What a great tech level. The Jar-Jar slugs really made me laugh. (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Delurk if you BrikWars

I got to spend several hours on the road in California with Mike Rayhawk last weekend, for an informal interview of Mike about BrikWars. Except for the wind turbines and Mike refusing to pull over for me when nature called (which I *was* prepared to (...) Quoting Shaun Sullivan <shaun_sullivan@irco.com>: (...) We're busy Memorial Day weekend, and June 1st weekend is some NELUG event thingy, just to keep that in mind. (...) Hmm...   Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) I could possibly do the 10th or 11th - though I'll have to get my army back for reworking. After that, I'm out of commission for the following two weekends, and won't be available again until the last weekend in May. I hope that I'd be able to (...)   Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) Actually, I kinda think it might be fun to try, personally-- you'd get free reign for creating the "magic items" (in this game), you'd get to control neutral troops (like the goblins, etc), and other game elements like the Sword of Agot, team (...)   Re: Brikwars at OurCon 04

In the end I usually take all the feedback I get and modify the game to try and meet as many of them as possible. I agree that losing troops is a (...)   Re: Brikwars at OurCon 04

(...) I agree, especially for a Gaming Con where non-AFOLs will be invited to join, that it would be nice to have the players be allies versus NPC opponents. Having NELUG play the NPCs would work nicely. This creates a nice scenario where teamwork (...) (21 years ago, 1-May-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Brikwars at OurCon 04

I think the three hour time slots would work well for the game I have in mind. What I've come up with so far is a TL2 game for mulitple players broken up into three stages each consisting of three missions. Each of these missions can be done at the (...)   Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) Well, the problem is that if you've got that same acre of oil that you're igniting with a 5000-degree blow-torch, the far corner of the acre that you're igniting (when it finally catches) isn't going to be at the same 5000-degree temperature.   Re: When the world was young - thoughts

(...) Well the first turn of burning oil damage would be more than the rest because the oil is causing the flame to be hotter, lets say a 2d6. Then rest of the turns could just have normal 1d6 fire damage on the areas that have something to burn. We (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
