  Photos from 3/17/01 Brikwars?

Hi all, Did anyone other than Eric J. take any pictures of the St. Patrick's Day (March 17th - has it really been that long since the last game?) Briwkars game at Jorge's house? I was going to try and compile some pictures and a report of sorts, (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

In lugnet.org.us.nelug, Freight Freitas writes: I'm definitely up for vehicles, but given the proposed theme of the past looking into the future technology, maybe, just maybe, we could use this theme for our club building project.I'm thinking we do (...)   Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

(...) You dare say it, I call it from the mountain! Time Cruisers is certainly weird science and the Twisted Time Train and Flying Time Vessel fit nicely into it. Another, more recently published, suggestion is the Girl Genius comic from Phil and (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

(...) Whoah! this just freaked me out- though it has nothing to do with LEGO (sorry). From the above link, I went here: (URL) it's a book I own! (the German original) I haven't looked for info on this book in a few years, but I remember a fruitless (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

(...) I believe Mr. Sullivan is right. We're going for medieval first, then we're shooting for 1800's Sci-fi. But I had Guinness in my system too, so I could be wrong. By the way, the new Disney movie, Atlantis, has a lot of this "steam (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

If you have Sci-Fi, they have a show about Jules Verne - it's not very good story-wise, but there's some decent special effects; it features things like giant airships, an underground drilling vehicle, a hover tank, a robot, etc. Also, Disney is (...)   Re: Meeting theme building?

(...) I like your Mechanical and Monuments ideas. 'Monuments' is a nice general term. Reminds me of the art show TLC did with the assignment: Gateways. It produced a huge variety of things.   Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

Info for folks: At the last NELUG meeting (5-15-01), it was suggested that an upcomming BrikWars game be set in a world of pumped-up past technology. The game has possibly been scheduled for the 4th weekend in June. Possibly to be at Jorge's house. (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
