  GATS Layout uncouplers

I was wondering if someone could provide me with some info on the GATS layout...I am working on the "under the track uncouplers" and need to know how to mount them so as I might be able to obtain all the required parts to make it a simple slip in (...) Well, okay, he actually said something like it looked realistic, but his face had ugly written all over it. :) I agree about the jamming 66 2/3% (see (URL) fact is that the (...)   Re: Build date Sunday, Sept. 7

Well, crap. Turns out I won't be able to make it to the build session this Sunday after all. I have Tuesday off instead, so I'm going to use that day to build at my parents' house. I requested Sept. 14 off for the meeting, so if I'm scheduled to (...) (21 years ago, 6-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

The other point I learned the hard way, is that unless you are using an RCX1, you need to program (...) (21 years ago, 6-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains)

Re: Build date Sunday, Sept. 7

It looks like I'll be off work this Sunday, so I should be able to come. That is as long as my boss doesn't try to screw up my schedule again without telling me, after it had been posted in our schedule book. Even if they DO change my schedule, I (...) (...) The GATS show is the 3rd weekend in October. If you can be sure to make the October meeting (2nd Sunday in October), we can integrate your MOC then (if you can't make it sooner). SteveM (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Found some skirting

(...) Sounds like your "skirt chasing" paid off! How light is it? MichLUG/LTC skirting is relatively heavyweight (not drapery but not see through either, and pretty sturdy cloth). (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Next Show?

(...) Exactly when is the upcoming show? I know it's in October. I'm still planning on putting together a building on a 48x48 chunck of land. But, I won't be able to start on it until after the big sumo event in Ann Arbor on Sept 20th. Steve (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Awesome looking crossing. I like the small size of the motors. What do you use to control this? I was in a hobby store last week looking at DCC stuff and they had crossing sensors for this sort of thing. Also, what happens with the gate is down? Do (...)   Re: Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I think I like the red one better. I think it's the minimalist in me. But black seems to be a more traditional color.   Versions 2 and 3 of micromotorized crossing gates.

I've made a couple new models of the crossing gates. With the black one, I tried to hide the red motor. With the red one, I tried to make my peace with the red motor. I'd like to use one or the other on the IndyLUG layout for the Indy GATS, but it (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains)

Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) I would like to point out that a club doesn't have to be an "LTC" to be a member of ILTCO.   Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) Why don't you contact John Neal at ILTCO and ask him what we should do? We aren't an LTC, but if the LTC kits are slightly different, we should get that version because we are doing a train show. Plus, we still need catalogs.   Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) The main reson I thought we should get one spoken for is that Jake mentioned a Limited number of kits, and since were a LUG not a LTC we don't have to go through ILTCO.org site. mark (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: [Fwd: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!]

(...) I don't think that's a requirement/restriction. And, I believe there are a limited number of kits. At the very least, it would be nice to have the stand-ups at the show in Oct. All the rest of the stuff is just gravy... Steve (H) (21 years ago, 28-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)
