Yeah I agree with this.  I felt quite rushed in preparing for this show.
(For the last few nights, I didn't sleep until 3am on average!)  If we're
gonna do something around Christmas time, we'd better start planning soon!
Unfortunately, I barely have enough storage space for my LEGO, let alone
built models!

I don't think I *can* do another show between now and Xmas. Not only can I
not afford the space to store the buildings, I can't spend the time - I
*have* to do some money-earning activity or not eat :-). ANyway I have
already demolished the town hall and the airport, sorted them and put them
away!

2 Thomas engines (or Thomas plus another eg James) so he's always running
somewhere for the kids without one motor having to run non-stop all day.

To tell you the truth, I don't understand why everybody loves Thomas?! • He's
always a hit!

The kids have seen him on TV, in books, a movie came out recently, there's
umpteen spinoff toys of him... they all know him. So I gues he's something
recognisable among the strangeness of trains. And to tell the truth, for
small kids, scale model railroads are pretty boring.

More space for the passenger station so we have a long platform for a long
metroliner (and 4561) train and the station buildings can look more
realistic and less squashed up.

How long is LONG?

Well, 3 Metroliner's worth: 2 locomotive/end cars, 3 middle passenger cars,
maybe a club car and/or baggage car.  That's 6 or 7 cars. Ans we could
easilly do a 4561 with 4 or 6 cars behind a decent size engine.

(...) I have mixed feelings about this one... One thing that set our display apart from others (apart from the fact that our display was 100% ABS plastic!) was that we *didn't* have a barrier. This allowed the public to get very close & personal (...) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
