some sort of mating game.

your bot has a stack of 2x4 (coloured) bricks.

your "opponent" or "mate" or "whatever" has a different colour

you have to,  like WORMS,  trade 2x4 genetic sacks.

this is ALMOST like a GBC re: the protocol hand off. BUT. we let ALL
bots run at once.

and they have to "mate" to trade genetic material???

the winner?

(sly grin)

maybe the winner who spread his seed the most,

OR

maybe the winner is the one who has collected the most material???

(shrug)

MAN, that would be fun AND way more fun to talk about on rtl then
"steves  balls"

Chris

So this would be played in an 8x8 arena, or even bigger 'cause of the number of
robots...

So each 'bot would be assigned a number and a colour

the 2x4's (or even for simplicity sake) a 2x4 brick, a 2x4 plate and tiles on
top so the thing is perfectly square from on end so they can be loaded into the
'bot easily...

'bots would send out and receive signals, or beacons, so they can find each
other.  once a 'bot 'homes in' on another 'bot, they 'mate' and pass these 2x4
blocks to each other.  Since each 'bot has a different colour, the one with the
most unique colours wins.

the signal would have the 'bot number, so 'bots could potentially ignore the
signal if they've already received blocks from that particular 'bot.

'bots would have to have some sort of conformity to send and receive blocks,
like the blocks have to be released at 'x' blocks high from the floor.  There
would, I'd imagine, have to be a standard 'docking setup' like the moonbases, so
the 'bots could 'mate' properly to exchange blocks.

hmmm...

kinda interesting...
