We would also have to have some sort of ruling on 'bots that don't transfer
blocks properly--I mean, I could build a 'bot that receives blocks rather
nicely, but  have a built in 50 percent 'faiure rate' for delivering
blocks--that'd almost be hassenplug!

well we COULD.

or we do like we did with king of the hill. and have qualifying rounds.

so your robot will be shown to work (not in your basement) on the day of
the game to enter.

I am starting to LIKE this idea.

as with ALL rtl events we keep it simple.  limit the "protocol" stuff.
so that we dont force a design.

oh my mind is a wandering....
