Okay, whoah, flood of posts about the drag racing.  My thoughts -

- I thought we were going to have a finish line, a fixed, known distance,
from a fowl line (in our case, the end of the table), with an unknown
distance from the fowl line to the start line?  That way, you have to decide
how fast you can make your robot go with a stopping mechanism that can stop
in an alloted time.  Having a fixed-distance raceway eliminates that
challenge, because people can use encoder and start slowing down before the
finish line.

- Turning around now?  What?

- This sucks, because Roman is already done his first entry, and was
starting on his second.  We're in a holding pattern until this settles down.

- Yes, I realise I should have been at the dinners if I wanted to contribute
any of these thoughts and we're just plaint out of luck.  I have been stuck
for the past 2 weeks in a 1 m cube with a giant orange 6-axis (named
Orangina and on PMS) with a knife (

PS - I would marry this if it were legal.
