I just got back from 3 weeks of building a house, and over 3/4 of the lumber we had was badly twisted or warped in at least 1 of 3 dimensions, usually more. This morning on the news I heard NYC's Mayor (I cannot spell his name) say that the blackout likely occurred somewhere in Canada. A song popped into my head: "Blame Canada! Blame Canada!" I have no power at home but I have power at work. morning breakfast saw me boil a pot of water for both Abby's bottle, and 2 cuts of instant coffee for me and Kate. we both had BBQ toast, and I've had to BEAT into Kate the idea that the fridge and (...)
