Rob, thanks for the try. As well as asking for help here, I sent out a few e-mails to entomologists who left their e-mail address on the web. to my pleasant surprise, one replied within a few hours to tell me that what I had seen was indeed a wasp. (...) From your description, I think its a tiger beetle. They come in metallic blue as well as metallic green flavours. (URL) are active during the day unlike other beetles. Can someone please tell me the exact dimensions of one lego stud? Or, ideally, can someone please put a whole bunch of plates together, and measure how long 66 studs is? Why? I'm a big fan of building sets using only box cover pictures. I can tell you for a fact that even the box-cover photos don't necessarily reflect exactly what you get inside.
