Thanks Derek! I'd add the following observation: For all the "normal" train cars I've tested, if you have a track-side object 3 bricks tall or shorter, it can usually get about 1 stud closer. Hey Iain, I recently did a 12-sided ferris wheel, admittedly easier, but I might be able to help: -=<(1)>=- Those 45-degree-bend technic fasteners can do the trick, and here's how.
