Hey Iain,

I recently did a 12-sided ferris wheel, admittedly easier, but I might
be able to help:

-=<(1)>=-

Those 45-degree-bend technic fasteners can do the trick, and here's
how.  Get 10 fasteners, and 10 axles of the same length; try 6 or
8-longs for starters.

Make a 'ring' of 8 axle-fastener-axle-fasteners.  Now open the ring and
stuff in two more axle-fastener pairs.  the axles tend to bend a bit,
but it'll work, 36 degrees instead of 45.

Alternately, you could use the beautiful 36 degree geometry of boat hull
pieces:

Obviously, change the ring elements to suit, but you can put a second
ring of the same style of hinges around the inside of the ring for
really good rigidity.  If you do use 10 of the wedge-plates ("3x4 wedge
plate" in MLCad) you'll get very strong rings.

And since the hole in the middle is exactly 6 across, you can easily
mount a 2x8 technic plate across it for your rotation centre.

Hope this helps.

even-numbered long plate (if you keep a one-stud space between the chairs
for arms), I'm only going to have 3 seats per thing :(  but I'm trying to
figure out how to run the 10 arms that link at each "Corner" back to some
kind of hub.

I'd ref: the pics I have on coasters2k right now but since brandon's gone
overbandwidth the site is down.  I have many pictures on my site however
(the ones on c2k are nicer though since they're all full res).

Any suggestions would be wonderful,
