Thanks Derek!
I'd add the following observation: For all the "normal" train cars I've
tested, if you have a track-side object 3 bricks tall or shorter, it can
usually get about 1 stud closer. That's because the train base tends to
be just barely higher than that.

| (...) This is true, but it means low slung cars can't go through Altenburg, and for example I was thinking of making a street car. This would require a low doorway between the two trucks which would interfere if people encroached that extra stud to (...) (22 years ago, 8-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
