  Re: rtlToronto13: rtlToronto/castle1

(...) Could be anything really. I'd like to keep it relatively open. Springloaded launchers with bungee blaster string, rubberband catapults, pneumatics if someone can rig it, whatever. (...) We always have, so there's no good reason to deviate from (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto13: rtlToronto/castle1

(...) How about High Park or West Deane Park? If people want to use PCs for RCXs either of these has AC power around the washrooms and laptops can be run in the shade of the rest areas and chained to picnic tables. March or April 2003 would be (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I'm more worried that rob would make something that would take out a light fixture and spread mercury gas all over the place.... i can see the newspaper head line now.... 2 killed 3 (...)   First Time....

Asking for LEGO bricks from people.... I have that firehall I'm working on, and, if you scoped the pics, you'll notice that the roof on the tower is not quite good 'nuff. So in order to complete the roof to the firestation, I need: 3x3 black corner (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto13: rtlToronto/castle1

Awesome idea Mario/Calum!!! I like it! After recently watching a TLC program on ballistics, I was thinking about a LEGO trebouchet as well. Maybe that's what inspired Mario too? (...) How about 1 or 2 standard 2x4 bricks? I think it would also (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto13: rtlToronto/castle1

That's a cool idea, I like, I'd do that. I'd allow RCXs, but not require them. The make good counter weights. :-) Personal I prefer the episode of Nova were they built two full size trebuchets and fired them at a mock up of a castle wall. Man that (...) (...) Does it have to be a trebuchet? Or can it be any type of ballistic seige weapon? Also, does it follow standard "purist" rules? Competetors have to wear safety googles at all times (bring your own). Calum, rtlToronto could also bring a net for (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  rtlToronto13: rtlToronto/castle1

Hi folks, This is an idea from Mario "I'm Too Busy To Post" DeFacendis for rtlToronto13 (uh, sometime in March 2003): We do the trebuchet game as featured in Junkyard Wars. -A castle is set up at the far end of the library room which is the target (...)   Re: Jeff VW & Rob's 'bot...

(...) I just posted a couple more pics, including Jeff trying to help a fellow competitor. I guess that means now, no one can see them till they're cleared on Brickshelf. Also, I checked on Mapquest. Seems Toronto is only a ten hour drive from here. (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

What me?!!? I think the French would call this touché! Serves me right for inviting you guys to the Science Center! :-) At the moment I plan to be there without a bot. (...) I willbe there. I have some vague ideas of what I want to do... don't know EXACTLY how I'm going to do it yet... oh yeah, and that programming stuff... I'll amaze you all with what v1.0 of the LEGO software can do! (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: R11 -- a brick too far

On second thought, I just came up with a revolutionary and (I hope) unique idea. Will I tell you what it is? Nope. You'll have to wait and see. But I will say that it won't be beaten by anything built with an inner tube. :) (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
