Re: What 50 bags of white tiles can do( was Re: More pics

(...) I agree. I think Ben was just joking too. Of course, I never really understand what Ben is up to, but don't take it on behalf of rtlToronto as a group formally. (...) While I appreciate your invitation to post in your NG, I'm not a fan of (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Ribbed the wrong way (was:What 50 bags of white tiles can do)

<BIG SNIP> (...) Let me be the first to say, that I think we here at rtlToronto would love to have a group of people from MICHLUG show up! I believe we have a lot of space to accomidate you guys. (Calum can you confirm this?) I also think that this (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Ribbed the wrong way (was:What 50 bags of white tiles can do)

Ok it seems a few people are in a tizzy, so I am hoping to defuse it a little. But as Larry said we should let it go. (I know, if we should just let it go, then why am I replying at all? Because I don't think it will just go away.) No harm was (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What 50 bags of white tiles can do( was Re: More pics

(...) Scott, best to let this go, I think... I agree that I don't see where we said that we were the only club capable but it's just not big potatoes. We and rtlToronto ought to be close friends and allies (as clubs) because of our geographic (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What 50 bags of white tiles can do( was Re: More pics

Ben & All, (...) Well, Ben, it was harsh, and uncalled for. I read the post, and still find it rather bad. Your explanation, IMHO, does not seem to warrant it. (...) Hmm... it seems like it to me, this post does nothing to convince me of that. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What 50 bags of white tiles can do( was Re: More pics

(...) No I pretty much agree with that....(considering <I'm from St. CathArines>) Its actually fun to drive to the city once in a while (relieves the boredom) But don't forget Iain, he's from Innerkip (Kitchener/Waterloo area). Besides, the homies (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What 50 bags of white tiles can do( was Re: More pics

(...) It was my reaction to your (group) post...may be I was a bit harsh...I said so myself (in the posting, and I gave my reason why, in fact). I wasn't trying to pick a fight....though. As for the "extra" comments, about the filming (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What 50 bags of white tiles can do( was Re: More pics

Larry & All, (...) Right. (...) Well, I don't know, it just really rubbed me the wrong way. If I took it wrong, my apologies, I will wait to hear what Ben says. Still a rather bad comment, IMNSHO. Scott S. -- (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What 50 bags of white tiles can do( was Re: More pics

(...) Scott, I'd take Ben's comment as ribbing rather than serious. We seem to have a high post output compared to some other clubs. That's partly because we use our group to thrash through issues, etc. which other clubs do either in mailing lists (...) Ben & All, (...) Right. (...) >filmed (on location = on the tracks) and put in video format (taken by a (...) Where in the world did this comment come from?   Re: rtlToronto now officially not the coolest video Lego group

(...) I was joking. Renting a HDTV camera, for example, the Sony HDW-700A HDCAM, the industry standard HDTV broadcast camcorder (basically the DVW-700 Digital Betacam chassis and transport with a HD imager block) rents for about $1500 USD. That's (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  new set for robot lovers

A quick scan of some other groups has shown a new set that might be fun for a different kind of lego battle. set 8539 is one of those (dumb) BIONICLE(?) sets. BUT, it has 2 IR remote transmitter/receiver pairs. from what I can gather from other (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) BULL ca ca!!!! rtlToronto, is by far the COOLEST lug around!! I can give you a few good reasons. 1. rtlToronto, has ME! 2. rtlToronto, has Iain (aka Tony) who builds super cool robot stuff 3. rtlToronto, has an upcoming robot contest based on (...) Hey Rob.... A suspension bridge sound cool... I think that we would require a dual track bridge or two single track bridges...   rtlToronto now officially not the coolest video Lego group

I was browsing Brickshelf and saw this: (URL) appears to be a Sony DXC-D30 head docked to a PVV1 BetaCam SP recorder. This is infinitely cooler than the Panasonic AJ-D215H DVCPRO I used at rtlToronto/4: (URL) officially means rtlToronto is the no (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
