  Re: rtlToronto22 Ideas?

(...) I was actually thinking of a Trucktrial competition ((URL)) you can search for some more on brickshelf there are more pictures. The only difference is that we can use the RC setup, instead of the wired setup they have. (...) He is not my (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: Dave's tears - R21 the results

(...) Alright, it's good he didn't scare you away. (...) On average it's about three or four months between events. Here's what's coming up: August 25th Brickfest DC November 3-5 Hobby Show (not really an rtlToronto thing, but) November 18-19 (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Dave's tears - R21 the results

(...) Hi there! Thanks! Even though I did not participate, it was really fun to watch. Now that I know Chris is just all about marketing, I'm much less afraid to participate in the next competition.   Re: rtlToronto22 Ideas?

(...) I wanted to toss out one more though. One of the more common restrictions for most RTL events is starting size for a robot. In some cases the challenges have been specifically designed to work against this (bridge building, rope climbing, even (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Official scores from rtl21--Chris didn't win... again!!!!

(...) While agree the re-running some competitions is a great idea (I know there are a few I'd like to try that I didn't the first time :) I predict rerunning this tug-of war event would end up as follows: All robots would: 1) be exactly 1.5 lbs. 2) (...)   rtlToronto22 Ideas?

So...rtl21 was pretty good. As traditional, onwards to the next game...even number rtlToronto games tend to be "harder" (eg rtl10: Project X, rtl14: Rice, rtl16: Ropeclimbers etc) so this one should be a difficult one. What should it be? Vitali (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Official scores from rtl21--Chris didn't win... again!!!!

What's it like to lose all the time, Chris? You beat me? You beat a 'bot that was made basically the day of the competition??   Re: Dave's tears - R21 the results

(...) I agree - it was a great turnout! We even had a couple of double entry people (myself and Ka-On) who agreed to only run one, otherwise there would have been 15 entries (an extra 29 matches) and we ended up running three tables, as it was... It (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Dave's tears - R21 the results

(...) I guess we will have to wait for the score keeper. grin. AND i did learn that you CAN drive a RC motor with an RCX. I was looking into running parallel outputs to drive it, but decided to go with just the one. I guess I was just lucky. Chris (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Dave's tears - R21 the results

(...) I have to agree. While posts leading up to rtl21 appeared to be pretty quiet until the last few days (it's obvious we're all procrastinators) I was thoroughly surprised to see 13 entrants. That makes my day. (...) I hope Sergio knows better: (...) (18 years ago, 31-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Set # 7475-1: Fire Hammer vs. Mutant Lizards $15 at Giant Tiger

(...) Once, (years ago) I was in some small town working on a show. On my break, we decided to do what the locals do, and we "went slumming."
