Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) (snip laudatory comments) (...) Let's try quoting the whole thing that I said, shall we, instead of quoting out of context? (...) I stand by what I say, LDD is in my view harder to use, by far, than any of the LDraw editors, at least for (...) (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) b) is a pretty important point for me. I don't have such a large collection and I often get ideas that I'd like to build. Well, in this instance I tracked down the guy whom I was told was responsible for LEGO software development and what he told me was that based on what I had said (complained about) that I would really like the next version.   Re: Reasons to L-CAD (was: Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?)

(...) Here's one example, (of many on BrickWiki and elsewhere) where a photo would not be nearly as good, as false colors and schematics really drive the point home.   Reasons to L-CAD (was: Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?)

(...) d) illustrating building techniques (sorry, no example handy). Mladen Pejic is (unless there's someone I'm missing) is the only prolific builder who documents every creation in LDRaw format and makes the file freely available. I wish more builders would do this.   Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) Phew. I was getting worried. On the topic of Lego CAD systems (not LDD, but LDraw and derivatives), I've never understood the point of them.
