(...) Well I just e-mailed Eric that I would send at least Cdn$30 (>US$20) or equivalent on behalf of the NALug. If any reimbursement is more, than I'll send more.   Re: Next NALUG meet attendees so far

Re: Next NALUG meet attendees so far

(...) [ Refer (URL) ] I think the deadline is today. Let's at least get everybodys name to Eric today - even if we can only commit to $20 initially. Is there perhaps some group funds that could/should go towards this? TTYL SRC (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: Great Edmonton Train Show 2000

First, congratulations to James and Raven with respect to the coming addition to their family! Most of us would love to have been born into a family with both parents big fans of Lego. How much Duplo has already been purchased in babys name?! Thanks (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: Great Edmonton Train Show 2000

Cool! I'll happily contribute buildings, time & stuff over the summer, but the odds of my being there resemble the odds of frozen water lasting the day in a religous hot place... Raven's due date is the 24th. :) That being said, I can free up any (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Great Edmonton Train Show 2000

Hello everyone, I finally received the application form to display Lego trains at the Great Edmonton Train Show. (Sounds a bit like GATS, Great American Train Show.) On his cover letter, he said that he would prefer the 90x120 inch layout, as they (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

(...) <Looks at clock: 7:53> Hmm. Too late to catch a bus and head up there now. Maybe tomorrow! Anybody in Edmonton sent in bulk orders yet? (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

MF & UCS Tie are here...

As with many places across Canada, we have them at TRU. The north side TRU has 2 of each left, and if you can get them this week, it's 20% off. Somehow I doubt we're going to see a better price on these anytime soon. The UCS looks really cool. Gotta (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: Logo for PNLTC cars

Hello Chris, If I am to 'plagiarize' a companies logo, it might be better to use an older version. The newer gold emblem looks sharp, but printing in that color is not easy to do. The more I look at the blue 1917 version, the more I like it Michel (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: Logo for PNLTC cars

(...) If it fits, sure. I have a very vague recollection of seeing a maple leaf outline across a brick. Perhaps something Ritvik did at some point. (...) wouldn't modify very well, I suspect. It's likely that no-one except train buffs would (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: Logo for PNLTC cars

Hello, The idea of a brick instead of the shield is GREAT, would the maple leaf still be applied on the brick? This site has all the logos from the CPR in chronological order (URL) other logo that would probably be easier to modify is the one from (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: Logo for PNLTC cars

(...) To my eye, that one looks like a newer version of the emblem. Back when I was into model railroading, the favorite was the old purple and grey colour scheme. I'm stretching my memory here, but I *think* the beaver was in colour then. In any (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Logo for PNLTC cars

Hello everyone, I finally had time to search out Canadian Pacific corporate logos. I found a great site (URL) was thinking of calling the railroad Canadian Prairie (Lego?)   Re: nalug Domain Name

(...) Our outing today was fun. Started at 1:00 p.m. and I got home about 8:00 p.m. (we stopped at Walmart on the way back, but no purchases). Be sure to let us know when you're around for a get-together! -Chris G. (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)
