It is refreshing to see your pedantry and stubbornness so openly on
display. I don't feel quite so alone!
And as for correcting what arguably is an egregious error(1), I'm not
done using my lance yet, you'll have to wait your turn. In the meantime,
de-escalate.
1 - One of many in our fair tongue. Normally I'd say you should let
sleeping dogs lay, or lie(2), since I could care less(3), about what you
decide to do. But I'll root you on because it will be fun to watch.
2 - depending on what it is they are already doing at the time. Dogs CAN
do it in their sleep, you know.
3 - but not much less.
