Just installed this on my dual celeron box and it runs like a champ,
but I'm trying to figure out how to make KDE my default X-windows
thingie.... don't like this Gnome stuff much.

Can't get Mandrake to install on this system (doesn't seem to like my
Tekram SCSI card, although it recognizes it as the same chipset as
TurboLinux and TL works fine) but I'm going to install SUSE 6.3 and
maybe even Corel as well since I have a bag o Linux distributions
laying around.

I'm doing partitions for each system (was going to do 4 gig, think it
might be better to do 2 gig since I'm going to have at least 3-4 on
here and I'm not sure they'll all be bootable otherwise).  Will I run
into any problems if I set them up like this:

4gb logical  /
(for TurboLinux)
4gb logical  /
(for SUSE)
4gb logical  /
(for Corel)

then do:

8gb logical /stuff

and have each of them mount only their own / and /stuff?

On most IDE drives, that's around 500MB. I usually set up workstations like (...) (24 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
