I was at the Detroit show today. Wow! What a show. There were tons of great
new vehicles introduced. Instead of telling you about them, here are some
direct links:

CHEVY AVALANCHE-a new cross between SUV and pick-up

PONTIAC AZTEK-a new cross between mini-van and sport sedan, with a little bit
of SUV

DODGE CARAVAN-the world's most innovative car.

CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY-Ultimate luxury mini-van

Also introduced, the Chevrolet SSR, a hot rod car with a pick-up bed that will
be produced. The Chrysler 300 Hemi. The classic American V8, rwd roadster that
will probably be produced. The Toyota Sequioa, the largest ever vehicle from
Toyota. The Saab 9-5 Aero staion wagon. The new Hummer Junior, arriving in
2002. The all-new Volvo V70 wagon, finnaly Volvo is out of the box. As for our
European friends, the Chrysler Voyager will be sold in Europe as it is now.
The Volvo V70 will also be sold in Europe, obviously. The Saab 9-5 Aero
station wagon is already sold in Europe. Tomorrow, DaimlerChrysler introduces
the Dodge Caravan R/T, the hot-rod mini-van, and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class
hatchback, the most affordable Mercedes ever (in the US). Acura will show off
the new MD-X SUV. In LA, there was the new Rolls-Royce Corniche, Acura CL,
Daewoo Korando SUV, Kia Spectra 5-dr hatchback, DeTomaso Mangusta (on sale
January 20th in LA, Miami, and San Fransisco), Hyundai Equus luxury sedan,
Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, and the Lincoln Town Car L. This follows the
introductions this past October at America's first large auto show, Miami,
which showed off the 2001 Ford Explorer, Lexus IS, Ford SuperCrew, Toyota
Avalon, Toyota Celica, Toyota MR2, Toyota Prius, Toyota Tacoma StepSide,
Toyota ECHO, Honda Insight, Acura Integra Type-R, and Daewoo Nubira II. Also
coming to the final two of the big five shows are the all-new Chrysler Sebring
Sedan (Stratus in Europe), Chrysler Sebring Convertible (Stratus Cabriolet in
Europe), Chrysler Sebring Coupe, Dodge Stratus, and Dodge Avenger. And coming
to showrooms this spring the Chrysler PT Cruiser, the car that
redefines "cool" (called Chrysler Neon Cruiser in Spain).

(...) put a spoiler on the back, so what? This is what, a 1996 body style? At least that's what the URL you gave shows. Perhaps they have a new body at the auto show but why repeat Daimler marketing hype here? Also at least one of the other sites (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Being the Hummer fan I am How was the GM HUMMER H2 up close & personal? I think that AM General should not have sold the Hummer to GM (I own a Chevy Truck) because they will fit it in an SUV class (where it does not belong) The best thing about the (...)
