... and notably, you and I have never gotten into an argument about
religion and faith.  That's my point.  There are some people in this
world who cannot abide the fact that others believe (or do not believe)
differently than they do.  I cannot substantiate this, but my personal
observation is that more often than not it is 'believers' who hold this
attitude.

That could be personal bias.  I'm modest enough to admit that.  Perhaps
I cannot see the situation totally objectively, since I *do* hold a
relevant opinion.  But it could also be a plausible side-effect of the
debate.  Inherent in most faiths is a 'cost' associated with lack of
belief.  So believers at the extremes see themselves as trying to save
others from their lack of foresight.  Non-believers, even at the
extremes, see no 'cost' to belief, no tangible difference in outcome
after death, and thus don't see it as as being as important an issue.

... but that's just an opinion:)
