  Melting a planet's core

I saw a program the other day which said that the planet Mars lost most of it's atmosphere when it lost it's magnetic field. It said that the field deflected harmful solar winds preventing them scouring away the atmosphere, but it lost it's field (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.space)

  Separation of Church and State

(URL) which granite tablets inscribed with the 10 commandments were removed from school property. Is this separation or liberalism run amok? I dunno.   Re: Bush, a flawed evil genius?

(...) Indeed. Go Poland!(1) They sent special ops dudes at the very least (from all reports, some very effective special ops, at that... there's a story behind how those forces came into being). 1 - I'm 1/2 Polish, my dad came to the US in 1949 (...)   Re: Bush, a flawed evil genius?

(...) Just the U.S. and England!?!? Australia was on the ground there too! And fully (at a national government level, anyway) supportive. And yet you say "just the U.S. and England"! What next?   Re: Bush, a flawed evil genius?

(...) First, that there is a coalition of any consequences is laughable. Really it's just the U.S. and England. For my part, I think Blair is being dictated to by the power brokers in his country -- things *might* have been far different if Gore had (...)   Re: Bush, a flawed evil genius?

(...) Either 9/11 was intentionally allowed to happen (doubtful) or the FBI once again dropped the ball on an important investigation. Psh, beginners. I'm 36, and I don't think there is a Stangl (with that exact spelling) in the world that I am NOT related to. Stangls are somewhat rare (and I'm sure some people in here think that's a GOOD thing ;-) (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Bush, a flawed evil genius?

Perhaps my good friends here on OTD, who are against the war can help enlighten my understanding, because I get a bit confused sometimes.   Re: Whoa whoa whoa!!! You two faced so-'n-so!!!

Re: Oh wait--Rummy explains all in the 'sound bite' of the year...

(...) Oh, really? Then why was the UN sending weapons inspectors into Iraq in the first place? Not much of a memory, Mr Marchetti.
