(...) You are right Vineet, long booms do allow for some bending. But that is not restricted to LEGO, the boom on (URL) this monster> sags noticably in the middle. Sadly the sensor costs around 140 euros, but its very good for this purpose, and it is made specially for the RCX. The normal rotation sensor from LEGO (...) (...) I found out that my 'small scale' Gottwald, reaches a point around 5 meters where the boom could not handle the heavy forces. With a flyjib configuration the forces on the main boom are huge.
