Just wanted to mention that this does not look like it is effect in the Bay
Area. I went to the Target in San Leandro, and none of the Lego I found was
on sale. They did have a TON of Arctic value packs, just a guess that those
will be reduced in price very soon.

Hello,

just a friendly note that my local Target begins the first rung of Lego
clearance this Sunday at 8 AM.  I was just heading out the doors a little
after close as the overnight stockers were beginning to label the sets, but
I did pause long enough to catch a few of the prices.  Looks like about half
of the stuff is getting the red stickers.  The following are all estimates
based on a very quick overview as I passed the Lego aisle:

Dinosaur $10 sets are $6
Railway Express was at $90
Smallest LOM Human Scooter is $2
LOM Shuttle was at $24
LOM Excavation Searcher was at $35
LOM Large Aerotube Set was at $55
Star Wars Imperial Shuttle $24
Ep 1 Flash Speeder was $6
Droid Escape is about $4
Slave One / Sandspeeder double pack was at $10  The store I was at had about
30 of these out on an endcap... I bet they go quick.
One of the large Bionicle sets was reduced to $60
SOme of the cans were reduced too, but I didn't catch a good enough look to
see what it was.  I am not sure if they were old Robo-riders or Bionicles.

I also saw about 8 or 9 just-shipped boxes of Lego that were going to be put
out on the shelves overnight, so I don't know if anything else will be on
sale, but the boxes I saw were all newer Harry Potter and Star Wars numbers.

hope that helps anyone, you can bet I'll be out shopping tomorrow morning  :)

ciao!

Score!  Joel, you are an angel.  Thanks for the heads up.  Any chance you
can work a miracle on my wallet now and allow me a second trip?  :)

Your prices are basically right on.  $10 sets are $6.90, Droid Escape $4.40,
same 30-35% they often do online.  Also saw:
A-wing $10.40
AT-ST $6.90
BattleDroid Carrier $6.90
Women's Team $6.90
other old soccer also marked down
2001 Alpha Team sets were about the only thing immune to the red tags

Happy hunting everyone and enjoy the holidays!

Chris, I went to the Target in Newark (Fremont) and it had items on sale. I found one copy of Slave I/Landspeeder. I also got an Arctic 6575 for $13 (only saw 1 copy). They didn't have any A-Wing or Imperial Shuttle though they had a lot of Droid (...) (23 years ago, 24-Dec-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)
