  Target update: Redwood City CA

I visited the Redwood City Target today, and they are still at 50% off, and all they have left (that I could find anyway) is the Arctic value packs. I bought one of them at $4.90, but they have a large stack of maybe 30 or so of them on an end (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

Re: 3rd round of Target Markdowns begins

(...) Yes, it has begun. I dropped by a Target at 8:30 this morning and the clearance toys were at 75% off *and* had been consolidated into one half-aisle. It looked to me as if the markdown had been at least a day earlier---*all* the Lego that was (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

3rd round of Target Markdowns begins

I just got back from two Targets at lunch and they both had moved to 75% off. Didn't score much, and the LOM 7317 that were there last week were all gone, over 18 of them. I called my wife and the Target closest to our house was still at 50%, still (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: 2nd Round of Target Sales Begins!

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- (...) Not New England, but I saw three sets at $65 at the Atlanta Sandy Springs store, on Saturday.   best bet for UCS tie & xwing?

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Is 30% off the best I'm likely to find the UCS tie and xwing sets at this point, or is there anywhere that still has any at 50% ? I stopped by the Lawrenceville/Discover Mills outlet this weekend; they had sold all (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.ga.atl)

  Re: about Target

(...) How they handled it for me was the cashier handed me the application and rang it up. When done, she called the manager over and handed me over to her. She ran the application and when complete, generated a new receipt with the discount applied (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: about Target

(...) Is it just me, or is it really sad that having *less* contact with service employees is an improvement? Unfortunately, my local K-mart is in the same situation -- if I could avoid dealing with the personnel, I'd be more likely to shop there. (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: about Target

I'd be interested in knowing what part of the country you're posting from with this story.* I wouldn't expect that kind of service here in Richmond, Virginia from any of the three stores you mentioned.   Re: Racers on sale at WalMart

  Racers on sale at WalMart

One WalMart I was at yesterday, had their entire pile of Lego Racers (small boxes, ~9 pcs) marked down to $1. This happened to be a smaller WalMart, so I'm not sure if this is on sale everywhere. Out of curiosity, I bought one and looked at it. No (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
