  Re: Pay Pal

(...) I agree that that would be an obviously sensible business strategy; *a lot* of money passes through PayPal's hands, and most of its users would be happy to let PayPal collect interest on that money for a few days---it is still faster than (...)   Re: Pay Pal

(...) Which is why a number of Bricklink sellers have one of each account. When they invoice, they state two prices: one for cash/balance transfer, one for credit card. Either CC has an extra charge of about $0.30 +3% more, of the cash/balance price (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-04, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Pay Pal

(...) Hello, Thanks for pointing that out Rob. I was thinking I should go back and reread the fine print on my paypal account. I can see now why big sellers might not like this so much, I personally would not do $1000 a month in sales, I barely put (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-04, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning

(...) It's not a matter of whether or not people believe that PayPal took back $7G from this guy, I certainly believe that it could happen. But the guy is taking it as a personal attack by PayPal and acting as if they plan to just keep his money. (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.services)

To be fair, his Email was, I think, written when the wounds were still fresh as it were, and also written just to me, not as a public post. In addition, he sells (...)   Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning

(...) The assumption is that since paypal said there is fraud involved that there is. This is not wise. It plays into paypal's attempt to pass the blame for the failings of their bogus verification scheme off on their customers. I know because it (...)   Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning

(...) I believe, but am not sure, that Paypal is more like a processor than a merchant. Or if not, they are somehow closely connected to a processor or bank.   Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning

I think originally they stated the shipment was too a 'confirmed address' I think, which means that in theory PayPal did the funky confirmation that you get the bill for a credit card, which kinda defeats most easy fraud, or am I mistaken? (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning
