Cool new features at Brickbay —Julie Krenz
Dan set up some new features, which as a seller, I really like. We are now able to set sales per category, track the avg sale per category and see how many unique items per category there are. Thanks Dan! Julie (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Cool new features at Brickbay —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Indeed. Rocks! I have just tried it out and I now have lots of complex discounts in place. The only downside is that now stores just say "sale" instead of some average percent (or min max??) off... but that's not a biggie. ++Lar (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Cool new features at Brickbay —John Radtke
(...) Speaking as a buyer that could be a drawback. Sellers can no longer attract customers by having a larger sales percentage listed.          Re: Cool new features at Brickbay —Larry Pieniazek
(...) That may not be the best strategy. Someone could just open a store, double their desired prices, then set the sale to 50% off, to take advantage of buyers using that strategy.          Re: Cool new features at Brickbay —John Radtke
(...) That would have been a far worse strategy for the seller and would have hurt the seller more than me!      (...) I agree. If you realised, that is. Comparision shopping at Brickbay, driven as it is by the search function only, is good, but not perfect yet.    (...) I'm not sure if this is the right place to post a response (if there's a better group, please let me know), but I would *love* the ability to search by LEGO part reference number.         Re: Cool new features at Brickbay —Christopher Lindsey
(...) That's OK with me. :) (...) Part of the problem with that method is that I don't always know what category a part is in.
