Lar,
Here's what I've figured out...
If you use the XML Bulk uploader, the wanted notifications are "saved" on a
different page. There is a link on the bulk upload confirmation page that
takes takes you to the wanted notify screen & automatically releases the
wanted notifications.
The wanteds are queued, so you can wait before sending them out. To
manually send them, go to the News tab in MyBrickbay, there is a Notify link
on the Wanted line near the bottom of the screen. I have uploaded several
batches of bulk lots before sending notifications to save on outgoing mail.
After reading these threads, I now realize that delay may not be desirable.
If your shop is closed when you add parts (using any method), then the
wanteds are sent out when you open.
The above two methods produce a "digest" style email notification with just
one email sent to each recipient listing all matched parts.
If you use the single Inventory Add Screen, the wanteds are sent out with
each single addition. This method produces individual emails for each
matched part, resulting in a recipient possibly getting several emails (for
separate matches) from the same store.
Of course that's just my understanding, I could be wrong. YMMV.
Here's the Brickbay explanation:

Hope that helps,
Clark
