I'd assume most opportunistic shoppers are using the Wanted messages, so
if the mail is sent to everyone at (about) the same time, there's little
difference that way.
But if someone is browsing/searching the website, and happens across the
items you want, before the Wanted mail was sent, then yes, they could
get to it first.
