Something about this kept bothering me. Finally the light went on :) The mail
transport between BrickBay and Interland appears to be quite quirky (and thats
being nice). I went back and examined the headers on a number of BrickBay
generated emails. The time difference between when it arrived at my isp and when
BrickBay handed it over to Interland varied from a low of 14 mins to a high of
several hours. Even if you jumped on it the momment the email arrives in your
mailbox, the item could have been sitting there for quite a bit. One email I
checked had a difference measured in *days* (but I think something odd was
happening, so I'll ignore that one).
Now, having said everything above, is mail broken again ? I just noticed an
order update that I have no email for. I sent myself a contact message, but
nothing after 30 mins. Not sure if this is just mail lag, or if it is gone
again.

| (...) For the record, it took 3 hours for that test msg to get back to me. I think Interland's mail transport could use a little improvement. cc's from lugnet posts usually arrive in 15 secs. (...) Ray (23 years ago, 27-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
