Hi All, I've been without internet access for the past week (business trip) and yesterday came back and the site has been down. It has been down for the past 2 days to the best of my knowledge. I called Interland tech support and they said the site (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade) !!

(...) There seemed to be alot more down-time when the email feature started working 3 days ago. Elas, about 24 hours after emails started to flow out again, it got shut down. (...) Right, the first time I saw this 'phenomenon', it started out at a regular number (40-50 users) then climbed steadily until it topped out just over 800. (...) I don't know the exact figures involved, but it's possible that the 'abuse' is perceived spamming. If you've got a lot of mail going to individual ISPs/mail systems, it's possible you're exceeding the set limit each ISP allows from an (...) That would defeat the purpose of the Wanted emails, unless it only sent them out to everyone at specific times of the day. There have been too many times where I've gone to order part(s) from a Wanted email not 5 minutes after getting the email, and (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) I'd assume most opportunistic shoppers are using the Wanted messages, so if the mail is sent to everyone at (about) the same time, there's little difference that way. Lar, Here's what I've figured out... If you use the XML Bulk uploader, the wanted notifications are "saved" on a different page. There is a link on the bulk upload confirmation page that takes takes you to the wanted notify screen & automatically (...) (23 years ago, 27-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
