Heh heh... How many have seen "The Boston Driver's Handbook"? It has
interesting maneuvers listed.

If you're not sure if you need to turn left or right, turn on the
emergency flashers, and possibly weave between all the lanes so you
won't get cut off from your turn if you're in the wrong lane.

The "shielding" maneuver is a very usefull one. Usefull for left turns
also. Then there's the advanced shielding maneuver, where not only do
you let the car in front of you take all the risk, but when it's safe to
go, you gun the engine and get in front of him (I've actually done this
once or twice).

There used to be a fun rotary at the end of the freeway part of Rt 2 as
it came into Alewife. Average traffic speed for people comming off Rt 2
and continuing right across the tracks was 45 or so (posted speed was
25). The Boston Driver's Handbook had a warning about this rotary
(you've just come barreling down a long hill at 70+ and all of a sudden
the freeway ends... in a rotary). Unfortuanately, now there's lights. No
fun anymore...
