Well, I've got the following MOCs I could provide:
Minifig 6-Wide Trains:
* Blue (Caledonian Railway) 0-4-0 saddle tank steam engine with seven mixed
freight short wagons.
* Red (L.M.S.) 4-6-2 steam engine with tender and two long red carriages.
* Green (G.W.R.) 2-6-2 steam engine with 2 long tan/brown carriages (one has
dining tables with lit lamps and carries the motor for this train), and an
0-6-0 pannier tank as an (idle) 'pusher' engine.
Minifig 4-Wide Vehicles:
* Orange/yellow skip lorry.
* Green sports three-wheeler.
* Yellow Chrysler PT cruiser.
* Light blue RAF recruitment Land Rover + trailer.
* Black/blue touring trike.
* Teal/pink/white tractor cab unit.
Buildings:
* Motorised windmill on standard green baseplate (in progress).
* Admiralty building in tan/sand-red. Currently on one large grey plate,
may be expanded to two in time.
* Railway signal box.
* Rural station house with platform.
* Other small house/shop (in progress).
Other features:
* Single-track motorised level crossing.
* Single-track railway bridge over stream - I'll try to remodel this such
that the track needs a minimal rise of only a few plates.
* Motorised paired points for passing loop.
If I buy another motor in the meantime, I might do another train. I'm also
planning an aquarium, which will probably all be on a single grey baseplate.
For power, I use a modified train controller which outputs straight 8V,
instead of using a battery box or second controller. Polarity switches then
operate the level crossing, windmill and point motors.
I have one motorised passing loop - I could probably motorise another two
points for the display if required. I would suggest a passing loop in the
outer loop of track right in front of people, and park a full MOT line up
there while we shoot a Santa Fe past it. If no-one has any carriages, I'd
suggest a train of tan hopper wagons behind it as a decent-looking alternative.
