Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) True....it may not be logical thinking. But even still, as a consumer he is very entitled to voice his opinion, regardless of the fact of how TLC views his buying from him or not. I don't want to say I'm getting tired of the getting old (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) Drool... With or without the old windows I'll be getting at least two of these beauties! Some decent parts and a fine example of the classic Lego set! Thanks in advance LD!!! David Kohrman (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) So you think it is okay to demand the moon and the stars from TLC without even considering what they would have to go through to give it to you? I'm sorry, but that is highly faulty logic. (...) True, we don't have all the facts. However, we (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) I don't have to think of any of those things -- it's not my job! And even if I did want to consider it, it's all very vague, lacking in any hard data, and full of presumptions besides. Keep it simple. You either do or do not want the element (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

Jeff: You make statements like this because you like to think that you know something from the "inside." But you don't, and neither do I. Give it up. All I know is that making molds to make bricks is status quo part of the business TLC is in. If you (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) Good analysis. The jig probably would be a lot simpler than, say, the jig for assembling monorail motors, but it would need a jig, nonetheless. Brad has said LD doesn't have the brief to get molds made at this juncture. That doesn't in my view (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) Sell well to *whom*? Us? Maybe, but even then, I doubt much more than half the readers of Lugnet would be very interested, since it isn't very useful to people who build Technic or Space, for example. Then you need to factor out those who (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

(...) This same tired argument again and again. Obviously they are not doing it with 1x1x1 squared windows. I too defended the set as it stands, at the right price its probably a good deal.   Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) Oh, come on... Lego dosn't have the molds, they couldn't do it if they wanted to. Anyway, I don't care. The large bulk of common parts will more then make up any old piece-new piece problems. Lego does us such a big favor, and then we complain (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) Do you want to pay more than twice (or more!) the price so Lego can afford to spend the money to make the molds all over again? Those windows haven't been used in about twenty years; the molds for them don't exist anymore! Jeff (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) The Star Wars UCS TIE and X-Wing sets are also good examples. The TIE utilizes such several overspeciallized minifig accessories as detail piece--phones, shovels, sextants, spearguns. The X-Wing uses barrels as engines. Bruce (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) Agreed. (...) This is the part that seems to contradict what you said above. I could use many of these 1x1x1 windows in many colors.
