For what it's worth, it doesn't seem inappropriate to me
to crosspost a message in Italian to .eu.  Europe is a polyglot

in many different languages.  (Not that my opinion counts, not
living in Europe.)
Right, there are a lot of languages in Europe, and just a small part of
Europe has english as national language. But since In our western-orientaded
world english is the main language (but chines ist the most spoken language
on this planet!), it is right to keep lugnet.loc.eu english, also counting
the fact that the main part of lugnet (and the creator/owner) speaks
english.
On the other hand, is is natural that sometimes postings/sentences in
non-english appear here. For my part no problem. I understand English,
German and Dutch, all other languages I won't be able to read, so I have to
ignore them, sorry...  8-) As long as the .eu newsgroup won't evolve into
some natiuonal-ng, it's ok with me.

Maybe the lugnet.loc.eu group should be kept in Esperanto?   8-)
