Re: Harry Potter Lego on sale next week at Myer?

(...) Having just realised that this Thursday is show holiday in S. Tas (and hence no trading) I would appreciate a heads up if anything interesting does appear sale/catalogue wise tomorrow. Thanks! Deidre drb@tasmail.com (23 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Harry Potter Lego on sale next week at Myer?

(...) Was, in Grace Brothers city store today (same chain as Myers). They had a large table of HP LEGO (sans Fluffy and Express).I asked was there a sale on soon as I'd heard such and they said yes. Yes, Tommorrow. Yes, 20% Yes, all LEGO. So I of (...) (23 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Harry Potter Lego on sale next week at Myer? BAD NEWS

I guess no-one saw them :( Mel :P Here it is again: Several sales that may have not yet been mentioned: As you can see below, new price first then the amount of discount in brackets. (...)   Re: Harry Potter Lego on sale next week at Myer? SOME GOOD NEWS

(...) Just for those that haven't already checked, Hogwarts Express is on the shelves. Though $90 is pretty steep for a train that doesn't run Lego track 8?( ROSCO (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Harry Potter Lego on sale next week at Myer? BAD NEWS

(...) Actually on further reflection, I'm not sure I saw the set 4706 Forbidden Corridor featuring Fluffy the Three-Headed Dog. Kerry (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Harry Potter Lego on sale next week at Myer? BAD NEWS

Thankyou to all with the Myer info, I was heartened to be able to layby a Hogwart's Express, even though it wasn't "on sale" on such. The guy (not Sean) who took my husband's call when he rang up Friday morning to get them to hold the HP castle and (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Hogwarts vs. Leo's Breezeway (was: HP sale at Myer? BAD NEWS)

(...) I assume that the decision is weighed heavily by the fact you already have one stashed away bought for around half the price of Hogwarts. For reference Set <set:4709> <set:6098> Peices 682 524 Figs 9 (counting the armour) 8 (counting the (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) price. (...) Thanks for the review!! (...) I've seen both "roofs" and "rooves" (though don't ask me where I saw that). I think probably both are OK. ROSCO (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Hogwarts vs. Leo's Breezeway (was: HP sale at Myer? BAD NEWS)

(...) I have them both. The plastic (or is paper?) roof is *very* disappointing on the Hogwarts Castle. I will be adding a real roof onto mine! Also worth noting is that the Hogwarts Castle is not one big building but three separate structures. The (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) those (...) No, no, no! I thought KLB stood higher but I am wrong. I have just put the two of them side-by-side (previously they were in different rooms), and it turns out that Hogwarts stands higher, despite the advantage of the moulded (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Hogwarts vs. Leo's Breezeway

Thankyou to James and Kerry for the comparisons. (...) Well, my preference was obviously for my son to want the KK for the above reasons, but the decision was down to him, I admit I'm a softy when it comes to Christmas, if he'd really preferred the (...) (23 years ago, 1-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Hogwarts vs. Leo's Breezeway

(...) It seems that Lego is doing a good job of confusing the consumers. I think a lot of people will be expecting Hogwarts Castle to be a Castle in the Lego theme sense (meaning a medieval structure intended to be defended with weapons), when it (...) (23 years ago, 1-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) And then the Hogwart's Express turned up at Kmart the day the 20% off all toys started! Same reg price as Myer take a few cents.   Re: Harry Potter Lego on sale next week at Myer? BAD NEWS

(...) Yes, the spiral staircases (Forbidden Corridor and Hogwarts Castle) are pests. It's all very nice that you can spiral them in either direction, but the price you pay is that slightest vibration tends to close up your staircase. I would have (...) (23 years ago, 5-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Harry Potter Lego -- are these sets supposed to work together?

I have now built all the Harry Potter sets that relate to Hogwarts Castle (specifically the castle itself (3 parts), Snape's Dungeon/Classroom, Forbidden Corridor, Winged Keys, and Final Challenge). It seems like a few people in the design team had (...) (23 years ago, 5-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.au)
