Hmmm...25% off and we're rabbitting on about MB.

I went to TRU this morning to see if there was any Lego of interest at 25%
off. Well, lets be honest, I was thinking specifically of the new Silver
Champion.

However, when I got there, I saw the Silver Champion shelf-priced at $320.
Great, I can save $80, but on the flip side, I have to spend $240. Hmm ...

Anyway, while Hmm-ing (a process that takes me some time), my eyes strayed
to the Mega Blok Pro-Builder sets, situated right beside the Silver
Champion. And an evil thought crept into my brain; how much Pro-Builder
could I buy with $240?

So, I played a little game. I picked the Pro-Builder set I liked most and
popped it in my trolley, scanning the price as I did. Then I picked the set
I liked next best, and so until I could put no more within the $240 limit.
So, what was in my trolley, when I finished this little game:

9745 Wave Breaker (racing boat in red, white, and navy blue, 700 pieces) $40
9760 Battleship (grey and beige battleship, 780 pieces) $40
9762 Desert Patrol (sand-yellow tank, 660 pieces) $40
9743 Blue Thunder (sky-blue and sun-yellow fighter plane, 690 pieces) $40
9707 Combat Tank (jungle-green tank, 340 pieces) $25
9741 Sea Rescue (red helicopter, 710 pieces) $40

Total: 6 sets, 3880 pieces, $225.

Guess what ... I didn't buy the Silver Champion! Admittedly I did buy some
25% off Lego, but not for myself, only for gifts.

For those interested in MB, as well as the sets listed above, there were
also:
red and yellow dragster
green helicopter
orange hotrod

Welcome to the Dark Side!

Kerry
