  Re: legoland deutschland lifetime passes...

(...) Lifetime tickets to Legoland CA cost US$1000, and since the park is already opened you don't get the preview! Consider yourself lucky... I agree about the world pass. In fact, I think that it should be included in the existing park-specific (...) (23 years ago, 27-Feb-02, to lugnet.legoland.deutschland, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

  legoland deutschland lifetime passes...

I noticed that the Legoland in Germany is selling lifetime passes for 555 Euros each. The price might seem excessive....but think about it....unlimited trips to Legoland... plus 10% off at the lego shop...and you get to get tickets for discounted (...)   Re: LegoLand figures/cars/landscape question

(...) I was told that the buildings, ships, etc. are replaced about every two years. I don't know how accurate this is because I'm pretty sure some of the buildings in Legoland CA have not been replaced since it opened. Anyway, when it's time to (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.legoland)

  LegoLand figures/cars/landscape question

Hi, I've seen pics of the Legoland landscapes on Brickshelf and some of the bricks used in the scenery looked worn out and old. For example some of the automobiles and houses looked discolored and water damaged from being out in the open for long (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-02, to lugnet.legoland)

Re: Estimated visit duration for 2 adults?

I'll add a few more things. Note that LL CA isn't open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until the summer. They just started this in Jan (they aren't getting enough business on those two days). That said, I recommend going on a weekday, preferably (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Estimated visit duration for 2 adults?

(...) Greg has some good suggestions, to which I'll add another perspective. (...) If your wife isn't into Lego you'd be pushing it to go for more than a day unless you drop her off somewhere the second day and go yourself. I say this having visited (...)   Re: Estimated visit duration for 2 adults?

(...) Short Answer: At LEAST the full day. Long Answer: The real question is how big of a LEGO fan are you and what is your (and perhaps more importantly your wife's) limit for staring at the most amazing LEGO creations you've ever seen. Literally (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Estimated visit duration for 2 adults?

My wife and I are planning to visit LL California while traveling in Southern California in April. I was wondering how much time we should allow for our visit, especially since we don't have children and probably will not go on many of the rides. (...)   Legoland will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

I just received a letter in the mail today announcing that LEGOLAND will not open their doors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the spring and fall this year. Starting January 15th, and going until May 22, with only the last week of March, and first (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-02, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.general, lugnet.legoland.california)

  LEGOLAND California reducing schedule

Today's (January 8, 2002) LA Times business section reports that LEGOLAND will close Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting January 15 and continuing until summer. This may repeat next year or until the economy improves. LEGOLAND California is the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.legoland)

  Re: Legoland question.........

I didn't remember a model of the World Trade Center, so after the terrorist attacks I went back and looked at my photos (go to my webpage at www.chem.ucla.edu/~bnh and click on "My Trip to Legoland") and it doesn't look like they had one. It seems (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.legoland)

Legoland CA + New Years Eve = FLOP

Just got back from Legoland's New years celebration, and as I wait for the wife to get ready for our next party I will give a summary on the events there. Basically, it was a flop, and a very big flop. It was set-up ok, nothing real special. There (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: Went to LLC 12/30/01

(...) The 20% anything over $10 is now over. You as a passholder can still get 10% off non-toy items (books, shirts, etc) if it is a toy, no discount. Tom (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: Went to LLC 12/30/01

(...) What did you mean by the above comment? I thought part of the deal for the Primo pass was 20% off on merchandise? If that is gone now, then that would really be sad. We just got our Primo passes two weeks ago... By the way, was that you I was (...) (23 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: Went to LLC 12/30/01

(...) Oops! Should have put a bunch of smileys in that comment about Brad. Just meant it as a joke that he should be swimming in free Lego. Jimmy (23 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Re: Went to LLC 12/30/01

In lugnet.legoland.california, Jimmy Park writes: <snip> (...) But isn't it great to know that a higher-up at LEGO is really into the stuff? I don't think it's possible to have too much LEGO... <grin> JohnG, GMLTC (23 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.legoland.california)

  Went to LLC 12/30/01

Fairly busy crowd given the cloudy weather down there. Rained hard on the way back home even. Went on one ride - the Technic coaster, which the misses has never been on before. Grabbed our free Holiday Duplo bricks and had lunch in the Castle (...) (23 years ago, 31-Dec-01, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Holiday Pictures from Legoland, CA on Brickshelf

(...) That is correct. Todd felt it would make Lugnet look too much like a marketing arm of Lego to allow them to post outside the lugnet.lego.* groups. But I think the real reason you don't see this is that the Legoland CA employee who used to post (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Holiday Pictures from Legoland, CA on Brickshelf

any events like build-an-ornament or any other promotions going on? i used to really appreciate it when legolandca employees would post events in the legoland newsgroup. that hasn't happened in sooo long.... i can't remember but are they restricted (...)
