  Re: New Chrome Castle Sets

(...) Larry, Larry, Larry... I merely want information about sets currently available elsewhere in the world --how big a breach of proprietary information is this supposed to be? Aren't you wildly overstating your case? (...) I think that I am not (...) (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Bulk Prices!

(...) I remember when I was 9-12 years old (1962-65) back in the days when there were 138 different parts packs available, all of them sold in Toy Stores. I used to walk the 10 blocks to "Earl's Bike Shop" in Detroit. They had all the Samsonite (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jul-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Bulk Ording Downside?

(...) I don't really consider discounted sets as any sort of competition for bulk. In part, I think that what we are seeing is a bubble which is going to burst. To some extent, right now we are flushing out a bunch of excess, poorly distributed (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Does LD consider requests? How popular would these pieces be?

Inverted extreme slope brick in a 1x3 and 2x3 size - particularly in yellow. White window frame 1x4x3 with matching shutters in the same color. Other colors too, please!   Re: Custom MOC kits (was: Re: Brickmania calls it quits on custom model kits)

Of course, flops can even depend to some extent on whether the set will make it as a parts pack, after people have said they don't want to buy it! ;-) For those in the USA and other high-usage LEGO areas, there are also the sets that are not very (...) (...) I should add one thing here to clarify the context of what I mean. I'm talking of course about the newsgroups above. In contrast, the sets database is a completely different story: editorial control *is* and probably always will be exercised (...)   Re: What's the difference between LEGO Direct and LEGO Shop At Home?

Just to set the record straight, this was actually requested on June 22 via email and not during the FTF discussion on July 19, and it was not a mere "suggestion" that LD "might" want to offer some clarification, but rather a very serious (...)   Strange pricing: 4222 vs 4288

In TRU there are two similar "Classic" building sets, 4222 and 4288. 4288 is the "Red Bucket" and 4222 is a box. 4288 contains 400 pcs. and 4222 contains 355 pcs. The part selection in both sets is similar; the notable difference is that 4222 has a (...) (24 years ago, 12-Aug-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct)
