Re: LEGO... are you out there? Do you care? (WAS: WHY SO LONG ON BULK BRICKS?)

(...) I agree......I visit the site just to see if there is any update...which to me is sad, because they rarely do. It seems to me they spent big bucks implementing a decent web site, but decided to make do with sporadic updates. If they really (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) This is one of those often missed opportunities where someone from the company could step in and actually answer a question/concern that is asked in this forum. This last question is one that probably keeps some people from ordering bulk parts (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) If they did this, (or any other true bulk offering, by volume or by quantity 1000+) I'm willing to bet that even if it's more than joe public is willing to buy, joe brickbay seller will happily do it. There *is* a secondary market, and it's (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) 6x8 (...) What would be easiest (for LEGO), is to just keep the current packaging and offer discounts on a scale corresponding to the number of bulk packs purchased (there was a form of this in the first month of bulk ordering). Say, 10 packs (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) Indeed. It would make larger scale constructions like my Octan HQ much easier that way. (...) What would be really fun is to find out what the minimum number of pieces they'd run with one tooling setup (if it's say, 50,000 of an element) and (...)   Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) Yeah I agree with you. I think they should have bulk selections in quantities of 25, 100, and 1000+ (for example) for the average, serious, and insane builder, respectively. Obviously, the more "bulk" you order, the cheaper price per piece (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

(...) Personally I still can not figure out why the minimum number of pieces is 25. When they say bulk I assume a minimum of 1,000. I would love to by 10,000 6x8 grey plates, if offered at a reasonable price. TLC is a buisness so I certainly do not (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: WHY SO LONG ON BULK BRICKS???? LEGO PLEASE READ!

(...) No, I think Richie and I guess you, are missing *my* point. I'm only trying to point out that LEGO uses LUGNET as it's internet information distribution point to the exclusion of its own website. Things are announced on LUGNET that do not get (...)   Re: LEGO... are you out there? Do you care? (WAS: WHY SO LONG ON BULK BRICKS?)

(...) Agreed. Its still not an accurate cross-section of the entire LEGO customer base ;-) Nonetheless, it would only benefit them to make more surveys available. (...) Good point.   Re: WHY SO LONG ON Light Gray?

I don't think it's unrealistic for people to want to purchase 1000 or 10,000 of a particular element, especially basic bricks. I know that for the right price, i'd be tempted to buy 10,000 2 x 4 bricks in certain colors. I had really hoped and (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Is LEGO listening to it's customers? (was Re: WHY SO LONG ON BULK BRICKS???? LEGO PLEASE READ!)

(...) [snip] (...) My point is: That people visiting LEGO.com represent a very small portion of LEGOs customers. You've complained that informal polls on LUGNET do not represent the views of the general public. I've said that polls on LEGO.com would (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) O.K. Let me try to express what I'm feeling in different words. If the LEGO.com site isn't getting at least 10 times the hits/day of LUGNET, then someone is really doing something wrong.
