I started a poll with the basic question:
How long before the Lego company beats a shame-faced strategic retreat and
returns the old grays and browns permanently to production?

So far, over half have answered Never.
If you believe that (and Im not saying that you guys are wrong) then why all
the whining? Im not going to call it voicing your opinion or expressing
your concern, its whining. If you dont believe Lego will act on the
complaints at any time, then there isnt a lot of point in voicing complaint.
It would seem to me to be best to either shup up and move on, or continue to
express your displeasure in the belief that at some point Lego will get a clue.
Personally, I dont have a huge problem with the color changes beyond one really
important one: its incompatible with the stock of bricks I have. One
complaint, but it has huge repurcussions. I simply find it amazing that The
Powers That Be at Lego never even considered it.
It isnt the end of the world as some would make out, but it is something that I
believe is correctable.

| I haven't said much on the issue, but every time I see a new dark "grey" brick my stomach turns because it a) doesn't match my old bricks and b) looks like a blah color to me. It just doesn't look right. Every non-afol person I've told of the change (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

It's possible that those who answered 'never' are the ones who are happy (or have settled for) the change. (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

| The one thing I can't understand is the "I've got multiple thousands of dollars of bricks, now these new ones won't match, so I'm going to quit my hobby." My, perhaps simplistic question is: Why not continue building with the huge stockpile you (...) (21 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)
