You, a geek, nah... ;-)

Whew!  For a minute there I thought you were calling me a geek.... hey, wait
a second!  ;)

Anybody else have favorite parts to which you've applied nicknames based
either on their appearance or perhaps their function?

This part is commonly referred to as a "jumper" plate or tile, since it
allows for you to build on top of it in half-stud widths.

That's a fairly widely used term, isn't it?  I guess I was thinking more
along the lines of personalized nicknames for less common parts.  As I
mentioned in my reply to Larry, I'm not in the least suggesting that anyone
else adopt nicknames that I or you or anyone else has for specific parts.  I
just figure that someone else must have short-cut nicknames that they've
assigned to certain parts... such as your example below.

My best friend and I, potty humorists as we are, started calling this piece
a "poo," since it's brown or black form could be used as horse droppings
(and we did when we were little). So now we say to each other, "I need x
poo's in y color" :-)

Tim, it will require years of therapy to get that name/image out of my head.
I'll send you the bill.  ;)

Thanks for sharing though... I think.

All the best,
Allan B.
