I agree that seems a little odd - especially since I thought they usually
had some kind of prototype version of the product months in advance of the
"real" thing. Seems like they'd have something available to show off.
Maybe they're just counting on the image of a giant basketball made of Lego
bricks sticking in the minds of consumers like some kind of post-hypnotic
suggestion that will be triggered when the sets actually hit the shelves at
Wal-mart or show up in the Sears & Roebuck Wish Book Christmas catalog.
My big question is what color of brick are they going to use for the b-ball
they're building? I'm assuming it would be one of the shades of orange - but
which one? I think the dark orange* color would be the best.
Can't help but drool like Homer Simpson when I think of that much orange
brick (regardless of shade) in one place.
Me like orange.
