Probably to ensure that links wouldn't go dead. The easiest
way to ensure that is to have the images in your control--divided
sourcing has a tendency to fray the tree very quickly.

The person who took the pics into their own gallery apparently operates (or has (...) (23 years ago, 15-May-02, to lugnet.general)
