Well... going from past experience, I used to scrap quite a few MOC's before
I finished them. Most of the time they were Castle creations and that only
because I never took the time to figure out what I liked for layout.
Usually, for space creations, I can imagine them and usually get them built
somewhere close to what I had envisioned. I would say that as a teenager,
probably about 60% was a fair success rating. My city theme successes were
usually around 100%.
In the last year since I've resumed building (and since my collection has
increased probably 2-3 times what I had as a kid), my success rate has been
pretty high. Of about 10 MOC's I've built, I like all of them and consider
each a success. They aren't all exactly what I'd meant them to be as I
began, but the spirit is still there and they have remained true to the
style they were intended to reflect.
I'd rate the last year's success at around 95% - but this is largely due to
having ideas pent up in my noggin' for entirely too long and having no where
to go until now. :)
