They're loosing money? I hope they funnel it into product development. Or
maybe give me some...
I think the fact that kids the world over are falling prey to the Nintendo
syndrome, and aren't paying much attention to thinking/building toys. TLG
is changing their targeting practice in order to increase their market
share. They probably realize that kids want action toys, not building toys.
Town Jr. gives them that. Town Jr. is clearly presenting itself (IMHO) as
an action toy that needs to be built, not a building toy that can be played
with.
