(...) This f****** sucks. Sorry, that's my first reaction. Like a lot of others had mentioned, I met Travis for the first time at BF last year and I was impressed by both him and his creations.   Re: Very Sad News....

I too never met Travis in person. I only knew him from his posts here and talking to him in the chat rooms. He was a great guy and his Moc's were inspirational. I am really going to miss the 80's T.V. hover cars he did. Those were awesome. I think (...) (22 years ago, 25-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Very Sad News....

My dear friend Benjamin Graber wrote the following and I think it's a thought echoed in the thoughts of all of us who had any contact with Travis, be that through chatting, one of the festivals or just seeing his super work here on LUGNET.   Re: Very Sad News....

I don't know what to say. Travis was like the sun, shining brightly for all to see. It was hard to lurk in the shadows when he was around, because his light would reach into the darkest of corners. Thank you Travis for sharing that light with me. (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Doing something for Travis

(...) This hits me particularly hard, not because I knew Travis well (in fact, we never met) but because his work was such constant inspiration and I never said so. Just the other day he posted his most recent Syd Mead style Blade Runner-ish vehicle (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.general, FTX)

Remembering Travis - His favorite piece

Hi Everyone, I chatted with Travis online every day. We shared many online jokes that were known really to only a few of us. I tried to think of something people could wear, like a ribbon or T shirt or some such, to remember Travis. But those all (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, FTX) !!

This will undoubtedly be a difficult Holiday season for his family. My thoughts are with them throughout it. Travis had only just become a LUGNET member. His page: (URL) sure Todd L too will be shaken by this sad news. -Suz (22 years ago, 24-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Very Sad News....

I met him this past summer at BF. Great guy. This is not fair. I don't like it when someone with great ideas and imagenation leaves. I am guessing someone 'upstairs' loved and enjoyed his models as much as we all did. This is sad news. I know this (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, FTX)
