The reason HP sales were so low last year is obvious.
There was no new Harry Potter movie last year.
Although the next Harry Potter movie will be coming out in June of this
year, previous HP movies had the good fortune of being released in
November, which is about the perfect time for any corresponding
merchandise to be picked up for Christmas. So I don't anticipate the
LEGO HP line associated with the third film to do as well as they have
done with the previous movies.
Star Wars merchandise sales may start to pick up late this year as the
advent for the Episode III starts to gather steam, and the popularity
will probably sustain corresponding merchandise sales for most, if not
all of 2005.
