The crystals is my realm are what power my airships. The crystals are
coupled with Xeshtal's magic to make them function properly. The crystals
still hold powers of their own, though. The magic just makes them more
powerful.

I've thought a lot about what role the crystals will play in my realm and
stories, and what role they will play in my Castle-to-Space crossover. The
"classic" Final Fantasy games focused heavily on Crystals as one of the main
points of the game. I always liked the thought of having crystals keeping
all life in balance, and the bad guys always trying to steal them for their
own uses.
I have a mountain (mountain range actually) that is the site of the precious
Sidonian Crystals. I figure that the crystals will play a major role in my
realms.

BTW, I really like the idea of flying knights!
