people who want an item get it directly (or more directly). I can't
imagine any Lugnetter is sitting on 5138s figuring they can get more if
they hold onto them longer.

I guess you haven't been out to Brickbay today.

This person must have bought at least 50 of the castle sets and who knows
how many pirate...

Try about 150.  He loaded 258 Falcon shields, 258 Forestman caps, etc., all
at once, a little over a week after the great service pack rush.  And I see
he's already moved about 100 of those shields at $2.50 per.  Nice work if
you can get it.

Ah, but those are parts from 5184, not 5138.  Believe me, unless the parts
from 5138 showed up and disappeared within about an hour, I'd have seen
them, and I'd have grabbed them.

The parts from 5138 are not so different from 5184 & 5059, are they?  But of
course, you're not really talking about 'parts,' are you?  You're talking
about the armor!  So, just out of curiosities sake, how much WOULD you pay
for the armor?  Falcon shields are moving pretty fast at $2.50, so would you
have grabbed those euro-armors for $3 each?  $5 each?  Just curious.  I'd
love some, but I'm prepared to wait lego out rather than paying more than a
buck for one.

(...) It seems amazing that the Falcon shields are moving at $2.50 - I've seen that BrickBay shop have 159 for several weeks now (of course, with the irregularities of late, who can say if that is consumer resistance or simple lack of opportunity). (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) For one or two of them, not knowing what the condition is? Maybe $3 bucks each. For the possibility of getting 20+, brand new? I'd pay $7 or $8 a piece. (and the rest of the pack is worth the leftover, easily) My $20 offer for 5138's was (...) (24 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle)
